Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be the legendary sword, Excalibur? Well, say no more, You Won't be King is the experience you are looking for.

You Won't be King is a rhythm game inspired by the legend of Excalibur! Keep the legendary sword sealed in the stone by hitting notes in sync with the music. Miss too many, and the blade will slip free.

Will you have the rhythm to keep Excalibur locked away?

This game was created for the "Pirate Software Game Jam 16". It was developed by Laura Rubert and Marcos Rodriguez as artists, with Talboo handling programming and design.

We recommend to play on fullscreen for the whole experience.

Efectivamente, no soy Rey :

I didn't know what I expect, and I saw that it's a rhythm game. I played with it, and I vibe with it like any other rhythm game.

Though, the game did lack some UIs including bars, but most importantly, it would have been great if there are sound effects when you press the buttons. In most other rhythm games, there's SFX for perfect, bad, and miss inputs.

As far as I can tell, the music had similar bpm to the rhythm inputs, so I didn't feel disconnected.

Thank you so much for the review! Your opinion will help us upgrade the game to the next level!

The changes you mentioned are things we wanted to add but didn't have the time to. We are currently working on them so we can better the experience before fully publishing it.
